Back then they were so clunky that you felt an accentuated amount of tension just because it took almost an entire second just to turn around and run away from the zombies! What makes this game so great is that the controls, while today seeming horrid, were very interesting in what they actually did for the gameplay. While that may seem bad, it adds its own level of charm to the game, giving it a little more character due to its age. The voice acting was about what you'd see in a b-movie or an '80s anime.
